Midnight Sermon
I’ve stood here, tall, yet unnoticed.
I’ve been a beacon that is never seen, but heard of.
No matter how long you searched, I’ve hid from you.
I knew you wanted to abuse the power that it came with.
Was I right? Was I just?
Yes.
The moment you caught a glimpse, you caged it.
Sold it for yourself and never thought of it as living
And breathing
And in pain.
And alone.
Alone with no one to share the pain that was brought upon it.
You fought for the glimpse.
Many a life was almost lost for the greed of man.
And the blind eyes of ambition turned evil.
And I will never forgive it
I cannot forgive and forget the scars that stain
